Welcome to our Year 6 page

Our Year 6 classes are Pearl, Garnet and Jasper

Year 6 investigation ‘What are the components of blood?’ for Science Week.

We made our own blood using corn-syrup (plasma), red kidney beans (red blood cells), cannellini beans (white blood cells) and sprinkles (platelets).
The Year 6 children took part in a Dancing Ahead taster workshop.

Dancing Ahead is a weekly creative dance programme supporting young people aged 10-14 years at risk of low resilience or poor mental health and is delivered by Trinity Laban. The weekly dance class builds confidence levels and skills through fun, creative and empowering dance activities, to support young people to build resilience and develop positive peer relationships.

Participants are engaged in an open and inclusive learning environment, encouraging artistic and creative expression and enabling an embodied knowledge of resilience.

The group will meet over the Summer Term, and will be led by an experienced Dance Artist.
