Premises Manager
We are looking to appoint a Premises Manager to lead on the development and upkeep of our large and diverse site. With two school buildings and extensive grounds the successful candidate will need to be versatile and skilled and will lead a Premises Team who strive to give our pupils, staff and parents an attractive, safe, clean and welcoming school site.
A secure knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and procedures is essential together with a range of practical skills and the ability to work with a range of contractors and organisations.
Deptford Park is an exciting place of learning, judged to be “Good” in our last three Ofsted inspections, our school is open, welcoming and inclusive towards parents, children and our community. At this school every child does matter and we do all we can to make a difference.

Job Requirements
Experience of working in a school environment would be an advantage
Maintenance and DIY skills
Experience of Health & Safety legislation as it applies to schools
Good IT skills
Good communication and numeracy skills
Time management
Pride in their work and understanding of the importance of maintaining a safe and attractive learning environment for children.
The Right Candidate will
Demonstrate previous experience and ‘DIY skills’ to identify, monitor and carry out repairs, maintenance, and redecoration
Demonstrate knowledge of moving and handling procedures and be physically able to carry out the physical tasks of the role (e.g. lifting, shifting, clearing snow etc).
Demonstrate knowledge of Health & Safety and hygiene procedures and precautions
Awareness of COSHH regulations, applying knowledge gained as appropriate
Demonstrate good communication skills that allow effective communication with all levels of school staff, governors, pupils, contractors and outside users of the school
